7th CBRNe International Conference Research & Innovation
Place:
Palais des Congrès Arcachon
Address: Bd Prom. Veyrier Montagnères, 33120 Arcachon
Date: 20th May 2026

Abstract : Since the Covid-19 pandemic and the return of high-intensity warfare to European soil, Europe is strengthening its preparedness and response capabilities against chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats (CRBN). This workshop—co-organised by the two major European Defence Funded initiatives on medical countermeasures R&D (MCMs – vaccines, antidotes, dedicated technologies), RESILIENCE & COUNTERACT, offers a collaborative forum to accelerate this effort. At the heart of the discussions, we will address: the existing funding opportunities at European level, production and stockpiling challenges for the pharmaceutical industry, civil-military cooperation, as well as the first significant scientific results in the field.

RESILIENCE is a framework partnership agreement in which specific grant agreements (seven in total) will be selected within the field of medical countermeasures against CBRN threats. The activities will be specified through a multiannual action plan by RESILIENCE, and the grants will be announced in the corresponding annual EDF work programmes (source: https://defence-industry-space.ec.europa.eu).
